The White Birds (song)
Words by William Butler Yeats; Music Leachman/Krimmel
Beth set this poem to music and first arranged it with her band Siúcra. Published in 1893, Yeats wrote it after he proposed to Maud Gonne (they never married). The ‘Danaan’ shore is Tír na N‚Óg, the land of the fairies in Irish folklore.
