The Bells of Rhymney (song)
Words by Idris Davies; music by Pete Seeger
This poem appeared in Davies’ 1938 collection Gwalla Deserta. He wrote it about the Welsh Miners Rebellion of 1926,’the angry summer’. Seeger set it to music in 1959 and it became a favorite of the 1960s folk revival.
